BioDent Myanmar ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BioDent mobile application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

• Email address
• First name and last name
• Phone number
• Clinic/Business name, address, and license details
• Profile picture
• Payment transaction details and proofs of transfer (receipt images)

Device Permissions

To provide all features of the BioDent app, we may request permission to access certain device features:

• Camera & Photos: To allow you to take and upload a profile picture or upload manual bank transfer receipts/proofs of payment for orders.
• Storage & Files: To upload document attachments or order specs.
• Push Notifications: To send you real-time updates regarding your order status, invoices, and payment confirmations.

2. Authentication and Third-Party Sign-In

We offer secure authentication services through Firebase. You may sign up or log in using your email address, or third-party sign-in providers including:

• Google Sign-In: When using Google Sign-In, we collect your Google email address, name, and profile picture to create and authenticate your account.
• Apple Sign-In: When using Sign-In with Apple, we collect your email address (or a private relay address) and name to create and authenticate your account.

3. Use of Data

BioDent Myanmar uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service
• To notify you about changes to our Service
• To process your package orders, dental lab requests, and invoices
• To verify manual payments and MPU gateway transactions
• To provide customer support and collect feedback
• To monitor the usage of our Service and detect, prevent, and address technical issues

4. Service Providers and Subprocessors

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

• Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore for database services, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications.
• MPU Payment Gateway: We use the Myanmar Payment Union (MPU) gateway to process electronic payments securely. We do not store your credit card or bank details on our servers; they are processed directly by MPU.

5. Data Retention & Security

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your info to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

6. Account Deletion (Apple Compliance)

If you wish to delete your account, you can do so directly in the app by going to your Profile settings and selecting "Delete Account". Alternatively, you can contact us at support@biodent-myanmar.com with your registered email and phone number, and our team will permanently delete your account and associated records within 7 business days.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
